-Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that it has successfully completed in-depth training for operations, maintenance, and flight/piloting for a key international customer with our Firejet unmanned aerial target system and multiple mission sets. Concluding with a series of training flights, these recent efforts enable this customer to now independently maintain and operate the high performance target drone system for their own use and to provide operations for other users around the world, positioning Kratos for significant increased sales of the Firejet system globally. Kratos is the industry leader in affordable, high performance unmanned aerial drone systems for tactical and potential adversary threat representative target missions.
Steve Fendley, President of Kratos Unmanned Systems Division, said, “We’re proud of the accelerating trend as we expand the worldwide footprint of Kratos’ high capability Firejet system and we look forward to further expansion in the years ahead. Our team has worked hard on progressively simplifying the operations and maintenance requirements and continuously improving the reliability of the system to minimize time the users spend on the target system itself, which results in both a greater number of missions and drone time on station for our customers.”
Eric DeMarco, President and CEO of Kratos, said, “The recapitalization of strategic weapon systems to address peer and near peer adversarial threats is driving strong demand for Kratos’ high performance unmanned aerial target drone systems, both with the U.S. Department of Defense and globally. Over the next several months we expect to receive several long term, multi-year contracts to address both our existing and potential new customer requirements of evolving and an increasing number of threats.”
