Rockwell Collins to Feature Wearable FireStorm Targeting System

For the first time at Eurosatory 2016, Rockwell Collins will feature its FireStorm™ targeting system, in addition to RealFires™ transportable trainer, and TruNet™ networked communications solution, from June 13-17, in Paris.

FireStorm offers a scalable targeting capability for both mobile and static applications. Based upon the most widely used joint fires system in the world, the wearable version of FireStorm delivers the highest levels of accuracy, maintains full digital interoperability with a wide range of coalition aircraft and artillery systems, and has a new intuitive, easy-to-use interface.

• TruNet networked communications solution: The first software defined network, including ground, airborne and handheld radios, advanced networking waveforms, apps, ancillaries and services, TruNet ensures secure connectivity between ground and airborne elements.
• RealFires Transportable JTAC/JFO Trainer: RealFires provides realistic day and night targeting simulation, with the flexibility to include a mix of live, artificial intelligence-based and programmed role players. The system is also capable of including remote role players in flying aircraft.
