Component Control announced today the addition of comprehensive tear down functionality to the Shop Control module of Quantum ControlTM MRO & Logistics software. Within the Shop Control module, users can now easily track labor during the tear down process to accurately record and allocate cost for all end items.

Labor expenses are the largest expenditure in the tear down process and Quantum’s new functionality supports a workflow to efficiently capture and distribute these costs. Once a tear down is complete and the costs are allocated, the original asset is removed from inventory and replaced by the individual components.

The components received during the tear down process can be transferred directly into the Lot Costing module along with their associated costs and traceability. These new features allow Quantum companies to seamlessly manage and measure all steps from acquisition, teardown, and sales to provide a complete picture of cost and profitability.

“Due to the complex nature of tear-downs and the management required, we’ve created an efficient approach that works fluidly with Quantum’s Shop Control, Lot Costing and Sales modules, with all transactions captured in the integrated financial system. This provides the industry with a comprehensive solution and a fluid workflow process for managing all tear down related activities.” said Todd Lewis, President and COO of Component Control.
