-Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B), a worldwide designer, manufacturer and systems integrator of high-performance precision motion and fluid controls and control systems, has been awarded a $28 million contract by the U.S. Navy for the repair of the slip ring assembly in support of the V-22 Osprey. This versatile military transport aircraft combines tiltrotor and fixed-wing technology, offering the performance of a helicopter with the speed of a fixed-wing aircraft. The slip ring assembly is a key subcomponent providing power and data for the rotor de-ice, flight controls, blade positioning, and sensor feedback.
Moog’s high-performance slip rings provide innovative and reliable transmission of high-speed data and power between the stationary and rotating parts of aircraft and military vehicles.
