Rockwell Collins, as subcontractor to Aviation Training Consulting (ATC), will assist ATC in providing training systems modifications to the B-52 Training System. The contract runs through 2024 and will ensure the Air Force’s ability to maintain crew readiness for its bomber strike force.

“There is great need to keep the training system concurrent with the aircraft to meet emerging threat environments,” said Nick Gibbs, vice president and general manager of Simulation & Training Solutions. “Rockwell Collins will be able to provide support necessary for tactical and strategic operations, all while ensuring top-notch cyber security solutions.”

Rockwell Collins will support ATC in restoring concurrency to the B-52 Training System by developing major system modifications to support new capabilities on board the B-52 Bomber aircraft. Major modifications include upgrades to the cockpit procedures trainer, electronic warfare simulator, weapons systems trainer, aircrew training devices, and mission trainers.

Rockwell Collins’ portion of work under contract will be completed out of the Rockwell Collins Simulation and Training Solutions facility in Sterling, Virginia.
