Meggitt Training Systems to Demonstrate FATS L7 and BlueFire Weapon Simulators at IACP 2015

Meggitt Training Systems (booth #1434) will showcase the latest in live-fire and simulation training systems at the 2015 International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference and exposition at McCormack Place West in Chicago from 24 to 27 October, 2015.

“Today’s departmental challenge is providing efficient, realistic and useful judgment training for officers, resulting in safer communities,” said Eric Perez, director of virtual sales, Meggitt Training Systems. “A vital component of the solution is the simulation and live-fire training technology Meggitt offers.”

Meggitt systems on display will include:

• FATS® L7 compact virtual firearms training simulator. The system includes both marksmanship and judgmental training modes to provide multi-tiered instruction. Marksmanship training ranges from basic to advanced, and judgmental training enhances the understanding of shoot/don’t shoot situations and the corresponding decision making process.
• BlueFire® wireless weapon simulators. These provide the highest level of realism in simulation by maintaining form, fit and function. BlueFire weapons are excellent choices for judgmental training because they use commercial wireless Bluetooth® technology to communicate with the FATS L7, giving the same control and feedback as tethered weapons but with a full range of motion. The following weapons will accompany the FATS L7 system: M4 BlueFire, Glock 17 BlueFire, S&W M&P 40 BlueFire, OC spray BlueFire, Taser BlueFire and Sig Sauer BlueFire.
• Live fire products. These include the XWT GEN3 wireless target carrier with RangeMaster™ Control System, the GranTrap™ rubber bullet trap and new shooting stalls and blast shields.
