-With an extensive portfolio of simulation and training solutions, HAVELSAN is advancing its work in computer assisted wargaming, exercises and experimentation. HAVELSAN’s acquisition of a stake in ETE Deney ve Egitim Degerlendirme Teknolojileri A.S. marks a new step in the company’s long-term approach to this field.
HAVELSAN brings its engineering experience in simulation and training technologies to solutions addressing different requirements and to international projects. The company aims to deepen its expertise by more closely integrating computer-assisted wargaming, exercise and experimentation technologies into its existing portfolio.
As part of this approach, HAVELSAN has acquired a stake in ETE Teknoloji, with which it has maintained a technology partnership since 2017. The partnership agreement was signed at the HAVELSAN Technology Campus by HAVELSAN President and CEO Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar and ETE Teknoloji General Manager Prof. Dr. Erdal Çayirci.
The cooperation between the two companies is based on the compatibility and interoperability of ETE Teknoloji’s hymots®, etecube® and nginr® products with HAVELSAN’s existing solutions. In 2023, HAVELSAN signed an agreement covering the sales rights for these products.
Following the agreement, business development activities were carried out in Türkiye and international markets to address both civilian and military requirements. These activities led to several projects, some of which have already been completed. The new partnership structure takes the engineering and technology cooperation between the two companies, which has continued for nearly a decade, to a new stage.
International Wargaming Centres
Through the new partnership structure, HAVELSAN aims to deepen its simulation and training portfolio and establish wargaming centres internationally. The company also plans to provide consulting, maintenance and operational services for these centres.
This objective reflects HAVELSAN’s approach beyond the delivery of individual products. Drawing on its engineering, integration and project experience, the company plans to establish centres configured for the requirements of different countries and support them through long-term services.
Commenting on the partnership, HAVELSAN President and CEO Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar said:
“With the agreements signed today, HAVELSAN has become a shareholder in ETE Teknoloji. This step has further strengthened our cooperation and the synergy between our companies. Our engineering teams, which already know each other and work closely together, will develop advanced technologies for the Turkish Armed Forces as well as for friendly and allied countries. The partnership will reinforce our cooperation in international projects and enhance our reliability in the eyes of end users.”
With this step, HAVELSAN is taking its existing experience in simulation and training further through computer-assisted wargaming, exercise and experimentation technologies, while focusing on more comprehensive and long-term projects in international markets.
