-Cubic Global Defense (CGD), a business unit of Cubic Corporation ( NYSE: CUB ), today announced the award of a four-year, $3.6 million contract to support the U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) situated in Hohenfels, Germany. This new contract is an expansion of a five-year contract the Joint Multinational Simulation Center awarded to Cubic earlier this year to expand support for simulation and maneuver training efforts.
JMRC is one of the seven directorates falling under the leadership of USAREUR’s 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC) headquartered in Grafenwoehr, Germany. JMRC is the only Army Combat Training Center outside the continental U.S. providing realistic, complex operational environments supported by world-class Observer Coach Trainer Teams (OCTs) and Opposition Forces (OPFOR) to the U.S. Army, European allies and other partner nations.
“Cubic continues to play a key role in providing Live, Virtual, Constructive and Game-based training and these contracts expand our footprint in support of the Army’s JMTC in Europe,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense. “We look forward to working with JMSC in simulation and JMRC in maneuver to best optimize training capabilities for mission readiness in support of the USAREUR and partner nations.”
Under the Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services II (OPTARSS II) award, Cubic will deliver education, training and exercise support services, which includes designing, building and implementing products used during training rotations; developing exercise scenarios and scripts for the classroom, field and other interactive learning activities.
