-UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía, a Spanish company specialized in guidance, navigation, and control solutions for unmanned vehicles, announces the release of software version 9.2, introducing enhanced interoperability, modularity, and multi-domain operational capabilities, while further consolidating its control solution for high-performance USV platforms.
This software update comes at a time of structural transformation in the maritime domain, driven by the growing operational use of USVs in recent conflicts, the shift toward distributed and multi-domain operations, and the need to operate in contested environments.
In this context, version 9.2 further strengthens coordinated multi-domain UxV operations, enabling seamless interaction between aerial and maritime platforms. The navigation and control system supports heterogeneous UAV–USV swarms, enabling shared situational awareness and cooperative behaviors across air and sea domains. This allows the deployment of scalable swarm concepts based on a common and proven control architecture.
Operators are increasingly demanding interoperable ecosystems rather than standalone autonomous platforms. The new version of the VECTOR autopilot family for USVs addresses this need through an open, interoperability-driven architecture that enables seamless integration with third-party payloads, sensors, command-and-control systems, and AI-based autonomous decision-making software. Missions can be executed fully autonomously without continuous operator input, while still enabling real-time updates during operation to adapt to evolving conditions or new objectives, ensuring mission continuity even in communications-degraded or contested environments.
Building on extensive UAV experience, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía brings proven autonomy concepts to the maritime domain, enabling fully autonomous mission execution from start to finish.
In the maritime domain, version 9.2 incorporates advanced navigation, safety, and mission capabilities, combining detect-and-avoid functions adapted from UAV operations with AIS-based situational awareness. This enables safe navigation in complex maritime environments, including during critical phases such as approach, launch, and recovery.

With version 9.2, UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía reinforces its position as a provider of advanced GNC systems, enabling interoperable, resilient, and mission-ready operations across multi-domain environments. The new version is now available for USV platform customers, supported by the company’s recognized expertise in control solutions and backed by the same high standards of quality, documentation, validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement applied across its fixed-wing, rotary-wing, VTOL, and target platform solutions.
