-Emergent, LLC, an award-winning IT solutions provider, today announced that two contracts awarded to them under the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V (SEWP V) Group A and Group D competitive procurements are now activated.
SEWP V is the fifth generation of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) popular Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC)--a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle available to all federal agencies to procure state-of-the-art information technology (IT) products, services, and solutions.
"Emergent has been looking forward to this day for a very long time and we are very pleased to be a part of NASA's incredibly successful SEWP program," stated Greg Christensen, President of Emergent. "We also look forward to our partnership with the SEWP V program office and to providing increased support to our Federal government customers."
Against a backdrop of the Government's shrinking budgets and demanding mission requirements, SEWP V will make available a wide range of more innovative, interoperable, and powerful hardware, software, and emerging technologies at a more affordable price--and through secure channels.
"SEWP V provides Federal IT buyers direct access to on-premise and cloud-based products and services and is the ideal place for federal agencies to acquire leading edge IT," said Paul Kohler, Executive Vice President of Emergent.
Available today - May 1, 2015 - each SEWP V contract has an effective ordering period of 10 years, consisting of a five-year base period and a single five-year option to extend the period of performance through April 30, 2025.
"It's Day 1 and Emergent is ready to go. Each award reflects our understanding of the SEWP program and our commitment to its integrity," said James Flint, Vice President of Corporate Development.
