TKMS and Cohere Sign a Contract to Deploy an AI Data Integration Platform for the TKMS Group

TKMS and Cohere, the world’s leading sovereign AI company, have signed a contract for IT services. The contract marks the next phase of the companies’ collaboration and covers the deployment of Cohere’s North platform and related project services to support the introduction of a group-wide AI data and integration platform at TKMS.

The eight-figure contract is the first assignment under the framework agreement between TKMS and Cohere, which serves as the basis for collaboration on various research and product projects. Under the agreement, Cohere will provide its secure North platform and cutting-edge AI models, support TKMS in establishing a group-wide AI-powered data platform for internal business purposes, and develop selected software connections to integrate relevant enterprise systems and data environments.

Cohere’s North platform enables enterprises that prioritize data security to deploy AI agents and automations at scale within their own infrastructure. For TKMS, the deployment is intended to improve access to organizational knowledge, strengthen digital workflows, save time and support the secure use of enterprise data in complex engineering and defence environments.

The project builds on the Teaming Agreement announced by TKMS and Cohere in January 2026 to explore AI-enabled capabilities for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP). With this contract, the companies are moving from strategic cooperation into implementation, with a focus on secure enterprise AI, knowledge management, data integration, and workflow support.

The contract further underscores TKMS’s long-term commitment to working with Canadian industry partners and applying advanced technologies in a secure, responsible, and mission-focused way. The cooperation is also intended to support TKMS’s wider Canadian industrial strategy, including potential alignment with Canada’s Industrial and Technological Benefits policy in connection with the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project.
