TEKEVER, the European leader in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and space technology, has secured a contract with the Centre National D’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), the French Space Agency, to test new Inter-Satellite Link (ISL) concepts using GAMALINK, TEKEVER’s software-defined radio, to enhance communication between satellites.

The objective of this new contract is to provide engineering models of ISL equipment with ranging and synchronisation capabilities as part of a future space mission. The mission aims to study the interior structure of a geocruiser asteroid. Additionally, these engineering models will support CNES in activities related to swarms of satellites, with the ultimate goal of building distributed sensors for space exploration.

This new contract underscores TEKEVER’s continued momentum in the European market, arriving just weeks after the company opened a new space hub in Toulouse, France – the capital of the European space sector – and signed a €3.2 million contract to provide GAMALINK for the European Space Agency’s Comet Interceptor mission.

Nadia Maaref, Space Director at TEKEVER, commented: “TEKEVER is already a trusted partner for some of the European Space Agency’s most advanced missions. This latest collaboration with the French space agency CNES reinforces this reputation and demonstrates that our GAMALINK technology is market-leading. Together with CNES, we will enhance inter-satellite communication and expand capabilities in Earth Observation. By enabling satellites to communicate with each other, we ensure they can work together.”
