-Big data software solutions and infrastructure provider Sysorex (NASDAQ:SYRX) today announced it has been awarded a subcontract to support Octo Consulting Group, Inc. (Octo) on the $249 million Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract in support of the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS).
The Army’s PEO-EIS improves, expands and modernizes the Department’s global Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Intelligence (C4I) infrastructure to enable the Department of Defense (DoD) vision for a Joint Information Environment (JIE). As the primary requiring activity within PEO-EIS, the Project Management Office for Installation Information Infrastructure – Communications and Capabilities (PM I3C2) will leverage EITS to execute its mission of providing the warfighter with secure, reliable, survivable, interoperable and standards-based access to data, voice and unified communications.
