-Component Control announced today that Southeast Aerospace has launched Quantum Control MRO and Logistics software live on the Oracle TM database, leveraging the system’s state-of-the-art scalability, security, reliability, auditing and disaster recovery capabilities. Southeast Aerospace has 53 concurrent users.
“Oracle enhances our ability to direct data from Quantum to the numerous internally developed software systems, including our website, used to enhance and improve processes throughout all areas of the company. This provides us with a distinct advantage that sets us apart from the status quo and enhances the experience of our customers,” said James Castellano, IT Director for Southeast Aerospace.
Based in Melbourne, Florida, Southeast Aerospace offers component and integrated services for the aviation industry, including avionics and instruments sales, MRO and engineering services, and aircraft modifications. The company processes nearly 10,000 work orders every year and stocks some 20,000 parts in inventory.
“Southeast Aerospace attempts to offer the most informative and accurate aviation parts catalog available on the Internet. We pride ourselves in providing accurate real-time pricing and delivery information to our business-to-business peers reflective not only of the inventory we currently have in stock and available for sale but also of projected inventory. This is based on internally developed algorithms that process and analyze the data contained within Quantum,” said Castellano. “We are excited to be revealing soon a redesigned website that will take advantage of the ability of our software to directly connect to the Oracle database and provide our customers with a tailored experience through a secure and readily accessible interface.”
The Quantum Control MRO and Logistics solution installed at Southeast Aerospace operates on a highly scalable and secure Oracle TM database and includes various logistics and business modules. Southeast Aerospace uses Quantum to easily manage daily functions, including inventory control, manufacturing, sales, purchasing, shipping and accounting. The company plans to add Quantum’s manufacturing, aircraft services and barcode modules in the future.
