Savox' THOR and IMP-CH Systems Make Major Strides in Middle East and Global Markets following IDEX Launches

As a direct result of its participation at last month’s IDEX defence event in Abu Dhabi, leading provider of C4I and communications solutions for defence, security and professional public safety users, Savox Communications, has taken firm orders and begun a number negotiations relating to its two show-cased new products at the event: the THOR Combat Headgear system and its IMP-CH compact onboard intercom and C4I system.

Its IDEX launches for the two systems were of regional and global, strategic importance. This fact was borne out by the large numbers of high-level visitors to the Savox stand, with the introduction of THOR conducted in the presence of the Finnish delegation and by the Finnish Deputy Minister of Defence. Throughout the course of the show the numbers and quality of visitors to the stand was equally impressive.

Interest in both systems, however, turned into real business opportunities in several cases, which is exactly what Savox’ management had hoped to achieve, having quiet, yet absolute confidence in the quality and outstanding capabilities of their two new products.

Chief Strategic Officer at Savox Communications, Mikael Westerlund, said, “We came to IDEX without ‘great’ expectation, having not attended the event previously. We did, though, have ‘great’ confidence that our two new systems, THOR and IMP-CH, would create a storm and attract the attention of the kinds of leading end-user organisations for which they are suited. It certainly did that! We can’t tell you how many at this stage, because the number has been climbing all the time since the show, but our production ramp-up, originally slated for later in the year, is getting underway without delay. We’re delighted.”
