Moog Delivers Innovative High-Speed Rugged Optical Network Solutions

Moog has consolidated its COTSWORKS and Protokraft product lines into a new business unit: “Rugged Optical Solutions” within the Power and Data division of Moog Space and Defense. Drawing on more than 45 years of combined expertise and a proven heritage in optical networking for mission-critical applications, Rugged Optical Solutions is well positioned to support full program life cycles. It is designed to help aerospace and defense customers manage cost, weight, and power challenges while enhancing overall system reliability. This integration addresses aerospace and defense needs around the world including:

• Radar systems used in ground vehicles
• Display systems for military and commercial aircraft
• Camera control command and mission computers on military tactical systems

Through the ability to control the full system, from design through implementation, Moog Rugged Optical Solutions provides:

• End-to-end system design tailored to specific customer platform requirements
• Component selection: optical engine, transceiver, termini, fiber, connector, switch, Fiber Optic Rotary Joint
• Full integration of optical networks including device and switch firmware control
