-Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY), announced today that it received a $28 million order from a leading defense prime contractor to supply high-performance digital signal processing subsystems for a ground-based ballistic missile defense radar processing application. The order was booked in the Company’s fiscal 2016 third quarter and is expected to be shipped over the next several quarters.
“Mercury was selected by our customer for this program since we were able to quickly develop an extremely powerful processing system where maximum performance was critical,” said Brian Hoerl, Mercury’s Vice President of Global Sales. “Additionally, our rapid prototype solution uses commercially-developed open architecture ATCA building blocks designed and manufactured in the USA, an important criterion in defense electronics where the provenance and integrity of the supply chain are paramount.”
