-Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Marillyn Hewson highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting an enduring partnership between the United States and Japan during her keynote address at the 2014 U.S.-Japan Council Annual Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii on Oct. 10.
“We are proud to help both Japan and the United States seize the opportunities and confront the challenges we face, together,” said Hewson. “At Lockheed Martin, we say that our life’s work is ‘Engineering A Better Tomorrow’ for our customers, and for the world. As we continue our work together, let us strive to ensure we do just that. Let us ensure that our countries thrive in that future.”
The Fifth Annual Conference, themed “U.S.-Japan Connections: Contributing to Growth, Security and Sustainability,” brought together more than 500 regional, national and international leaders from government, business, academia and non-profit sectors to discuss current issues and opportunities affecting U.S.-Japan relations.
