L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has secured a contract from General Dynamics Electric Boat to provide battery monitoring systems for the U.S. Navy's Virginia- and Columbia-class submarine programs.

L3Harris' battery monitoring systems are critical for submarine readiness, effectiveness and providing real-time battery health assessments that enable submarine commanders to optimize mission profiles.

“These systems directly impact operational capability and crew safety,” said Nino DiCosmo, President, Maritime, Space & Mission Systems, L3Harris. “This contract reflects our commitment to delivering reliable solutions that support two of the service’s highest-priority submarine platforms that serve as the backbone of America's strategic deterrence.”

L3Harris’ longstanding partnership with the U.S. Navy submarine force spans multiple generations of platforms, from Ohio- and Los Angeles-class submarines to today's advanced Virginia-class fast-attack submarines. The company’s maritime expertise and proven performance position it as a key contributor to the Columbia-class program, the Navy’s next-generation ballistic missile submarine.
