-Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) completed the first integrated live-fire test from the company’s newest containerized launcher – Kodiak™. This demonstration test used a Reduced-Range Practice Rocket (RRPR), to demonstrate the ability to employ offensive fires from a containerized launcher.
THE BIG PICTURE
The Lockheed Martin team demonstrated its ability to load and launch a RRPR from a containerized launcher. This test comes just a few months after several successful GRIZZLY™ tests. By proving the possibility to containerize both offensive and defensive fires, Lockheed Martin is providing the Department of War with cost-efficient and low-observable weapon capability options. Containerized launchers enhance flexibility and lethality for any mission.
WHY IT MATTERS
