Jonal Laboratories has signed a long-term agreement with Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), to provide non-metallic rubber-based elastomeric parts. These parts will be used for Pratt & Whitney's PurePower® engines for the Airbus A320neo aircraft, the F135 engines for the F-35 aircraft, and the company's legacy engine programs.

Under this agreement, Jonal Laboratories will support Pratt & Whitney's scheduled increase in production, which is projected to more than double by the end of the decade. Pratt & Whitney has more than 6,200 orders and commitments, including options for the PurePower Geared Turbofan™ engine family, and is the sole provider of F135 engines for the F-35 aircraft.

"At Jonal Laboratories, we've invested in new equipment in our facility and are ready to support Pratt & Whitney as they increase production well into the future," said Marc Nemeth, president, Jonal Laboratories. "We have been a supplier to Pratt & Whitney for more than 40 years and we are excited to play a role in their future."

"Jonal Laboratories has demonstrated their ability to deliver to our stringent performance and quality requirements," said Dave Emmerling, vice president, Strategic Sourcing. "At Pratt & Whitney, we are proud of our long-standing history of doing business in Connecticut. With more than 90 product suppliers in Connecticut, we are working to ensure the most technically advanced and high-performing suppliers are part of our ramp up."
