Hanwha Aerospace and Poland Strengthen Ties with Additional Executive Contract for K9 Howitzers and Technology Transfer

Hanwha Aerospace today announced that ithas signed an additional executive contract with Polish Armaments Agency. Thisagreement is the second executive contract, following the framework contractand first executive contract, both signed in 2022.

The contract, worth around KRW 3.45trillion (USD 2.6 billion), outlines the delivery of K9 self-propelled howitzers,ammunition, and the transfer of technology to streamline local production ofmaintenance parts for weapon systems, as well as technical support to maintain,renovate and modernize the Polish defense industry.

As part of the agreement, Hanwha Aerospacewill supply Poland with 152 K9 self-propelled howitzers and an IntegratedLogistics Support (ILS) package for maintenance. The contract also covers thesupply of 155mm howitzer self-propelled ammunition packages.
