-General Dynamics Land Systems announced today that it has been awarded a $450-million agreement from the U.S. Marine Corps for the Pre-Production Development (PPD) phase of the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) competition.
The PPD phase will include the validation of final design and build of multiple vehicles across a subsection of the expected family of ARV variants, followed by a series of U.S. Government test and evaluation activities.
“Our ARV prototype has been thoroughly tested throughout the previous phases, and we are confident in its ability to meet and exceed the requirements of the Marine Corps,” said Keith Barclay, Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Operations at General Dynamics Land Systems. “We are proud to continue working side-by-side with the Marines through this next phase to ultimately deliver a transformational capability.”
