Defence Exports 2022 will host a Pre-Conference Workshop on "Challenges of Controlling Technology/Technical Data in A Cyber World"

The 16th annual Defence Exports conference will convene in London on September 13th – 14th 2022 to explore global defence trade compliance in depth. A truly global programme, delegates will meet, network, and hear exclusive insight from senior government officials and international trade compliance professionals from around the world.

Suppliers and subcontractors must be keenly aware of the requirements and risks associated with the cybersecurity of controlled defence data.

This workshop will provide attendees a better understanding of cybersecurity regulatory requirements such as CMMC, DFARS, and UK Cyber Essentials, and go over practical strategies for managing compliance and controlled defence data.

Why you should attend

• Cyber-enabled intellectual property theft from the Defence Industrial Base (DIB) and adversary penetration of DIB networks and systems pose an existential threat to national security. Adversaries often take the path of least resistance through the DIB rather than attacking government networks for the same information. Small to medium-sized business and suppliers who subcontract are historically even more vulnerable to these threats.
• This workshop will explore the fluid cyber threat landscape of the DIB sector and the impact and risks associated with those threats and the various government regulations established to help mitigate risks.
