Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) and Philippine Airlines (PAL) are pleased to announce significant advancements in their ongoing collaboration, further enhancing PAL's fleet maintenance capabilities and operational efficiency.

Continuing their commitment to delivering innovative and efficient maintenance solutions, AFI KLM E&M and Philippine Airlines have successfully executed the first "On-Wing" Fan Module Swap of a CFM56-5B engine at the PAL Express Hangar. This milestone marks a significant achievement in on-site support collaboration and showcases the advanced capabilities of AFI KLM E&M’s engineering solutions. The operation was facilitated by a specially customized mobile crane, designed to meet the specific requirements of the fan module swap without the need for engine removal. This on-wing maintenance approach significantly reduces aircraft downtime, ensuring that PAL’s fleet remains operational with minimal disruption.
